As for Shin Leong, I do have some sympathy for him. He is a decent chap and I would trust him as an MP. No question.

But the bigger picture is more important – and that means no one is bigger than the party, no matter how nice a chap you are. I am more concerned with how, if he runs in a GRC team, his revelation would impact his team mates and whether it would be fair to them. I guess we’ll know when the next GE comes around.

As for him being provoked into revealing it, well, that’s what I heard.

Good grief! You mean he could have been prodded or provoked into revealing it? I wish I’d read this post before I commented last in TOC.

But that’s the strange part – because that should also be as difficult to explain as your first question ‘why did he vote for the pap?’ Who compelled him to do it, and why? And why did he give in? I say it’s difficult, because obviously Shin Leong isn’t revealing much in the first place, and perhaps the rest of us may not like what we hear.
